Istituita nel 2019 dal&nbsp;<strong>Dipartimento della Protezione Civile (DPC)<\/strong>&nbsp;in occasione della&nbsp;<strong>Giornata internazionale per la riduzione del rischio dei disastri naturali<\/strong>, che si celebra ogni anno il 13 ottobre, l\u2019iniziativa rappresenta un\u2019occasione per approfondire i temi della prevenzione, della consapevolezza dei rischi e dei comportamenti corretti da adottare in situazioni di emergenza. L\u2019obiettivo \u00e8 contribuire alla diffusione della cultura della protezione civile e della salvaguardia del territorio. Promosso dal DPC, il ricco calendario di appuntamenti spazia tra mostre, podcast, esercitazioni e talk.<br>L\u2019<strong>Istituto Nazionale di Geofisica e Vulcanologia (INGV)<\/strong>, in qualit\u00e0 di Centro di Competenza del DPC, partecipa attivamente alla manifestazione aderendo a<strong>&nbsp;\u201cPercorsi di protezione civile\u201d<\/strong>, il villaggio tematico allestito dal 15 al 18 ottobre, dalle 9:00 alle 17:00 a Roma, nella cornice di Piazza di Siena a Villa Borghese. Il percorso sar\u00e0 inaugurato gioved\u00ec 15 alla presenza del Presidente della Repubblica,&nbsp;<strong>Sergio Mattarella<\/strong>.<br>Presso lo stand dell\u2019INGV verr\u00e0 mostrato al pubblico e alle scuole come la comunit\u00e0 scientifica opera a supporto del Sistema nazionale di protezione civile attraverso lo studio, la ricerca e il monitoraggio di terremoti e vulcani.<br>In particolare, sar\u00e0 possibile conoscere da vicino il funzionamento del&nbsp;<strong>Servizio di sorveglianza sismica e vulcanica<\/strong>attraverso i collegamenti alla strumentazione in tempo reale delle&nbsp;<strong>Sale Operative INGV di Roma, Napoli e Catania<\/strong>.
